BIM Curriculum
Building Information Modeling is the new trend in the AEC design industry. Graphisoft created the first full fledged BIM curriculum to support the university education of BIM to students. To get the BIM curriculum you have to register first.
What is the BIM Curriculum?
The curriculum consists of two parts:
BIM Seminar Lectures
A general introduction to the BIM concept in 10 lessons. The topics are the following:
- The BIM Concept
- Computer Modeling
- Computer Visualization
- Publish your Work!
- Collaboration
- Construction Coordination
- Calculation
- Sustainable Design
- Parametric Object Technology
- Computer-aided Manufacturing
- Documentation
Each seminar's material contains a PowerPoint presentation and separate lecture notes for students and teachers.
The lectures are not ArchiCAD focused thus they can be presented in any architectural schools.
ArchiCAD Studio Lessons
Hands-on ArchiCAD training in 5 lessons. The students will be instructed to model a high-rise office building with ArchiCAD and learn the basic concepts of the program.
The lessons cover the following topics:
- Introduction to ArchiCAD
- Let's start modeling
- Complete the BIM model
- Annotations, Visualization
- Documentation, Calculation
For each lesson we provide the necessary ArchiCAD example files and the step-by-step demonstration guide in PDF format.

Artlantis Studio Lesson
Artlantis Studio is an easy to use yet very sophisticated tool for creating high quality renderings and animations. In addition to the 5 ArchiCAD studio lessons Abvent (the developer of this software) prepared an extra lesson that demonstrates the capabilities of the application. The training material contains Artlantis files and the detailed demonstration instructions in PDF format.
