Free ArchiCAD + other software

Every teacher and student is entitled to download his/her own copy of ArchiCAD for one year free of charge.

The Process:

The first step of the registration process starts on Graphisoft’s student registration website.
On this page we ask you to enter the following data:
The Country/Region where you are currently studying.
The platform you are using (Mac OS or Windows). The platform you choose here will be the platform you will be able to install the downloaded ArchiCAD onto.
Your local partner. (Only applicable for countries where more than one partner is operating.)
Your full name. This name will later be needed together with the serial number to activate your ArchiCAD Student Version. Please note: this name will be used when we check your student status during the final registration process!
Your email address. This must be a working address where we can send you further data that you will need to successfully download and install ArchiCAD. If you cannot provide a functioning address, you will not be able to continue the process.
The school/college you are currently attending
After clicking “Submit”, you will automatically receive an email with the following content (if you do not receive this email within 10 minutes, please check with your administrator):
After downloading ArchiCAD, choose “ArchiCAD 12 Educational license” from the installer screen.

On the next screen, enter your name and your Temporary Serial Number. Without these, the ArchiCAD Educational Version cannot be installed. Please make sure you enter your name exactly as you did on the registration webpage.

Every time ArchiCAD is started (as long as your serial number has less than 30 days until expiry) a warning dialog comes up. This dialog prompts you to progress through the registration process so you can secure a one-year serial number:

By clicking the link in this dialog, you are taken to the final registration website where you’ll be automatically identified based on your previous serial number.

On the final registration page, you will be asked to enter the following data:
What year of the course are you currently attending?
What’s your expected date of graduation?
Your telephone number
Your may receive further questions and instructions from your local partner
The data you’ve entered will be logged in our servers, and the local partner will be notified about your request/registration.
Within two weeks, the local Graphisoft partner will check your details and eligibility. As soon as your data satisfies our student criteria, you will automatically receive a further email with your final, one-year serial number.
