MacWorld Reviews ArchiCAD 8

In his Macworld magazine online review, author Greg Miller calls ArchiCAD 8 "the most sophisticated top-of-the-line CAD program available for the Mac." Miller reports on the "organic" workflow automation enhancements, including the new Detail Tool, and also the ability to automatically create schedules, bills of materials and quantity estimates. He notes favorably the ability to update project files online, or to export files in PDF format. He adds that both large or small design firms will benefit from the efficiency gains the update delivers. Finally, mention is made of the extensive templates and libraries inherent in ArchiCAD. Tech Notes - patch released

The previously promised patch to fix the most important irregularities found in ArchiCAD 8 R2/v2 has been released. Visit the Support Page to download the patch from our website where you can also find the complete list of fixed bugs.

Most recently released localized versions are already based on the patched program-code thus they don't need to be patched.
