Second Edition BIM Server for ArchiCAD 13
If you have already installed BIM Server 14 on a machine that does not contain BIM Server 13, the server cannot communicate with ArchiCAD 13 clients. To remedy this, you must install BIM Server 13 as a module of your existing server.
In this situation, you cannot install BIM Server 13 from the ArchiCAD 13 DVD. You must use the Second Edition BIM Server 13. This edition of BIM Server 13 - unlike the one on the ArchiCAD 13 DVD - can run as a module on later-version BIM Servers.
The only difference between the "second edition" of BIM Server 13 and the original one available from the AC 13 DVD is that the "second edition" can be installed to run as a module on later-version BIM Servers. Both editions of BIM Server 13 are updated using the same hotfix.
Important: As with all other program components, when using Second Edition BIM Server for ArchiCAD 13, it is important that you have updated it to the latest available build. Therefore, after installing Second Edition BIM Server for ArchiCAD 13, you should download the latest hotfix and install it to both the client and server programs.
