Description

A wrapped texture giving a polka-dot pattern. The texture corresponds to a grid of circles of one height against a background of another height.

The height of the circles in relation to the surface is given by "spot displacement". Values greater than 0.0 make the spots displaced outside of the surface. Opposite, values less than 0.0 make the spots displaced inside the surface.

The radius of the circles is specified by argument "radius", and the distance between centres of adjacent circles by argument "separation". A factor in the range 0.0 to 1.0 which is provided in argument "edge softness" controls the softness of the circle boundaries. A value of 0.0 gives a hard edge to the circles, and a value of 1.0 gives a continuous blend of heights throughout each circle. An overall scaling factor may be specified by argument "scale"; increasing this value will make the circles appear larger. Similarly, "displacement amplitude" controls the overall scale of displacement.
