Shader: "glow"

"glow"

ClassTransparency
Synopsis Transparency shader which can be used to create effect of a region of glow surrounding a light source. This is done by varying the coverage (alpha) value depending on the angle between the surface normal and the view direction; when applied to a sphere placed around a light source, the effect of a spherical glow around the light source is achieved.
Arguments

"centre coverage" Description: The coverage (transparency alpha) value at the centre of the spherical glow region.
Default:0.5
Hint:-
"edge coverage" Description: The coverage (transparency alpha) value at the edge of the spherical glow region.
Default:0.0
Hint:-
"zero angle" Description: Controls the angle on the sphere at which the glow effect falls to zero. This enables the size of the glow effect to be controlled without replacing the spherical geometry.
Default:90
Hint:-
"edge falloff" Description: Controls the sharpness of the edge of the glow region.
Default:0.0
Hint:-
"noise density" Description: The transparency effect can be modulated by a noise value to give a more cloudy effect. The amount of noise to modulate the coverage value by is controlled by this argument. A value of 0.0 gives no noise modulation, up to a maximum value of 1.0. The higher the value the more pronounced the effect.
Default:0.0
Hint:-
"detail" Description: The transparency effect can be modulated by a noise value to give a more cloudy effect. This argument controls the detail or complexity of the noise. The larger this value, the more complex the noise.
Default:2
Hint:-
"scale" Description: The transparency effect can be modulated by a noise value to give a more cloudy effect. This argument scales the noise effect.
Default:1.0
Hint:[ 0.01, 1000 ]
