Executive Team

Viktor Várkonyi
Viktor Várkonyi was named CEO of GRAPHISOFT in 2009, with overall responsibility for the firm’s global business operations. In addition, since October 2013, he is a member of the Executive Board of the Nemetschek Group, responsible for BIM-related corporate strategies. Viktor joined GRAPHISOFT in 1992, and has over twenty years of IT experience. He is recognized for developing breakthrough technologies that have been key to igniting the wide deployment of BIM-based workflows. Viktor is an electrical engineer and holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, as well as an executive MBA from Purdue University - Krannert School of Management.
Ákos Pfemeter
Ákos Pfemeter, Vice President of Marketing, joined GRAPHISOFT in 1999 as a technical support engineer. Shortly thereafter, he took on the management of the Technical Support team, followed by Client Services and Product Management. Ákos has led GRAPHISOFT’s global marketing efforts since 2007. His current responsibilities also include GRAPHISOFT’s product strategy, customer relations and business management. Prior to joining GRAPHISOFT, Ákos spent three years in the building industry as an architect. Ákos holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and an MBA from Buckinghamshire New University, UK.
Gábor Svéd
Gábor Svéd, Chief Financial and Operations Officer, GRAPHISOFT 2015. Gábor started his professional career with Procter & Gamble, where he held international roles in brand finance management and corporate treasury. Prior to joining GRAPHISOFT, he spent 10 years in the travel industry with Thomas Cook as CFO of the Hungarian operations, followed by international responsibilities in Eastern Europe. Gábor holds a CEMS Master’s Degree in International Management from the Vienna University of Economics and an MBA from INSEAD.
András Haidekker
András Haidekker, Vice President, EMEA-Pacific, joined GRAPHISOFT in 1992 as a software engineer. He later moved to the sales team, initially responsible for the German-language markets. In 1997, András established GRAPHISOFT’s UK operations. From 2001, he led GDL Technology, GRAPHISOFT’s Internet start-up. Since 2005, he has been responsible for sales in strategic markets. In 2011, he was appointed Vice President for EMEA. András holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, an MASc from the University of Quebec and an MBA from Corvinus University, Budapest.
Bence Kovács
Bence Kovács, Vice President, Asia, joined GRAPHISOFT in 1994 in Japan, where he became General Manager in 1996. In 2000, he returned to GRAPHISOFT’s Budapest headquarters as Vice President of Product Management. Bence joined Erick van Egeraat associated architects in 2006 as Managing Director. He returned to GRAPHISOFT in 2009 as head of the Japanese subsidiary. Bence was appointed Vice President for Asia in October, 2013. Bence holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and the Tokyo University of Technology.
László Vértesi
László Vértesi, Vice President of Development, joined GRAPHISOFT in 1989 as an architectural consultant. He has contributed to the success of ARCHICAD in his various roles both within the product development and the product management teams. Most recently, he led GRAPHISOFT’s Product Design team. Prior to joining GRAPHISOFT, László was a practicing architect and worked on many commercial building projects. László holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
Eszter Czéh
Eszter Czéh, Director of Human Resources, joined GRAPHISOFT as an HR associate in 1999, was named Deputy Director of Human Resources in 2001, and Director of Human Resources in 2002. Prior to joining GRAPHISOFT, she worked for József Telkes Management Consultants. Eszter holds a Master’s Degree in French and English from the University of Pécs and a Human Resource Management Degree from the International Management Center (IMC), Budapest.
