Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP)

At Graphisoft, we know that the best products are the ones our customers can use to their fullest potential. To design our products, we gather direct customer feedback by conducting usability tests, surveys, focus groups, and other types of field research. However, thousands of people use Graphisoft products, so it is impossible for us to contact most of our customers in person to get their feedback. The Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) was created to give all Graphisoft customers the chance to contribute to the design and development of Graphisoft products.

By participating in the program, you add valuable input that helps Graphisoft product designers, engineers, and testers understand how to best improve your overall experience with Graphisoft software.

To learn more, read the following frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) work?

Participation in the program is voluntary and anonymous. When you choose to participate in theCEIP, your computer automatically collects and sends program usage related information to Graphisoft. We then analyse the data and produce reports on a range of technical topics.

The collected information may include the following:

  • Total number of hours product is in use
  • System information, such as operating system, processor, and memory installed
  • Product information such as version number
  • Feature usage information such as menu options or buttons selected

This data can help Graphisoft determine the following:

  • Which operating systems to use for testing the software
  • How customers use Graphisoft products
  • Percentage of customers finding and using new or enhanced product features
  • Which bundled-software components customers use the most

How is my privacy protected?

  • We only collect data for the installed Graphisoft product(s) on your computer, and it’s only disclosed according to the terms described in the CEIP Privacy Statement.
  • CEIP reports do not contain contact information, such as your name, address, or phone number. CEIP generates a globally unique identifier (GUID) that is stored on your computer to uniquely identify it. The GUID is a randomly generated number; it does not contain any personal information and cannot be used to identify you. CEIP uses the GUID to distinguish the frequency of a particular feedback and to prioritize it.
  • This program is not spyware and cannot collect information without your full knowledge or consent. Any information collected by your computer within the framework of CEIP will be sent to Graphisoft only in case you agree to participate in the program. The program records only those actions described on this page, and only if you give your permission.

Will I be contacted or receive spam if I participate?

No. CEIP reports do not contain contact information, such as your name, address, or phone number. This means CEIP will not ask you to participate in surveys or to read junk e-mail, and you will not be contacted in any other way.

How do I participate in the Customer Experience Improvement Program?

After a Graphisoft product is installed, you will be presented with a dialog box asking if you would like to participate in the program. If you do not recall responding to this dialog box, follow these instructions:

  1. Launch your Graphisoft product.
  2. Choose Help > Customer Experience Improvement Program Options.
  3. Select the Yes option in the dialog box that appears, and then click OK.

What if I give permission and then change my mind later?

  1. Launch your Graphisoft product.
  2. Choose Help > Customer Experience Improvement Program Options.
  3. Select the No option in the dialog box that appears, and then click OK.

After you select this option, data collection and transmission to Graphisoft will stop for the applicable product(s).

Do I need an Internet connection?

An Internet connection is required to participate in this program. However, you do not need to be connected all the time. When an Internet connection becomes available, the information is automatically transmitted with minimal impact to your connection.

Is this information collected for all the Graphisoft products I use?

If you participate, only information about the Graphisoft product(s) listed in the Customer Experience Improvement Program dialog box in your installed application will be collected.

Can I review the information before it is sent to Graphisoft?

Unfortunately, the information can’t be reviewed. This program is designed to work for thousands of users without affecting their product use, so the data is sent automatically only after the product is closed. The data is also encoded and compressed so that it can be processed efficiently.

Will the CEIP affect the speed of my program in any way?

No. You will not experience any change in performance or file size as a result of participating in the CEIP.
