Graphisoft delivers highly specialized libraries and templates for ARCHICAD designed specifically to address needs of U.S. customer base

Newton, Mass. - July 21, 2005 - In further demonstration of its commitment to the U.S. building design market, Graphisoft today announced the availability of its ARCHICAD 9 Special Edition Library. Tailored to meet the specific needs of architects in North America, the new object libraries and templates for ARCHICAD® 9 provide a simplified user interface and save architects time by reducing click-throughs and improving workflow.

"We went directly to our users in the U.S to determine exactly what tools would help them to better meet their customers' expectations. The new Special Edition Library is the direct result of customer feedback and our relationship with our user base," said Miklos Szovenyi-Lux, Director of ARCHICAD Release Management, Graphisoft.

"Graphisoft's ARCHICAD has enabled us to be more efficient and therefore allowed more time to design than any other building modeling software packages on the U.S. market," said Richard Crowe, AIA, Principal of Gilchrist Ross Crowe Architects. "The new library is excellent, and contains many refinements of existing objects as well as the creation of new intelligent objects."

Targeted for both new and existing customers, the latest object libraries and templates are currently available to all U.S. users with a valid ARCHICAD license. The new library includes: Start-up file enhancements containing fill types, materials and U.S.-standard multi-layered walls and finishes. In addition, it continues to refine previous content such as:

"I am very impressed with the new libraries and the attention Graphisoft continues to show in understanding the needs of my clients. The new library part features are very comprehensive and intuitively work the way we design," said Link Ellis, mobile ARCHICAD trainer for ArchiLINK.

The ARCHICAD 9 Special Edition Library is currently accessible from ARCHICAD 9 directly by clicking on the "Check for Latest Library..." command in the Help menu.
