CADALYST LABS Awards 5 Out of 5 Stars to ARCHICAD 7.0
Reviewer "Highly Recommends" ARCHICAD as a "Complete Architectural Product"
October 2, 2001 - SAN FRANCISCO - In another triumphant review, ARCHICAD 7.0 was "highly recommended" in the October issue of CADALYST by architect and industry consultant Michael Dakan. In this in-depth look at the software's new features and functionality, Dakan gives ARCHICAD 7.0 the nod as a "complete architectural product" with a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.
"ARCHICAD 7 adds significant new functions and features to what is probably one of the most mature and complete programs of its type available in the market," said Dakan in his review. "With Graphisoft's longevity and success, you can be certain that it'll continue to develop and improve the program so that it maintains its place in the top tier of architectural CAD programs."
Distinctive Graphisoft attributes such as Macintosh and Windows compatibility, comprehensive offline and online documentation and extensive GDL object libraries are enhanced in version 7 with new tools such as ProjectXChange, a tool for publishing document sets and facilitating online collaboration. New features for the design process include a custom TrussMaker, Skylight and Corner Window routines, and a Wall Wizard tool to edit walls.
"ARCHICAD works like most object-oriented architectural CAD modeling programs, and a proficient AutoCAD user won't have much difficulty transferring to ARCHICAD," said Dakan. To encourage the transition, Graphisoft is hosting "ARCHICAD for AutoCAD Users" seminars across the country and offering a deal to AutoCAD R14 users who are being forced by Autodesk to upgrade their software by 2002.
