ARCHICAD 6.5 Certified on Dell's Top Workstations
Budapest/San Francisco/Austin (Texas), September 22, 2000 - Graphisoft R&D recently certified two of Dell Computer Corporation's most popular workstations - the Precision 620 and the Precision 420 - as meeting the hardware requirements for ARCHICAD 6.5.
Dell is widely recognized for its work with independent software vendors like Graphisoft in pre qualifying popular applications to avoid unpleasant surprises when a workstation is deployed to engineers or developers. PC Magazine recently selected the Precision 420 for its Editors' Choice award for delivering such assurances.
Dell Precision Workstations are intended for professional users who demand exceptional performance in the computer-aided design (CAD), digital content creation (DCC), geographic information systems (GIS), computer animation, software development and financial analysis markets. Dell holds the number one position and a 23 percent share in the worldwide workstation market.
Released in February 2000, the Precision 620 is Dell's most powerful workstation, and incorporates single or dual Intel Pentium® III Xeon processors at 733 MHz or 800MHz with a front side bus speed of 133 MHz. Both systems were tested for ARCHICAD 6.5 hardware requirements with 128, 256, 512 Mbytes RAM, and ELSA Gloria II Pro 64 Mbytes RAM and nVidia GeForce 2 GTS 32 Mbytes RAM graphics cards.
