Foundation Stone Laid for New Health Center in Braunschweig
Budapest – September 28th, 2007 – The foundation stone for the Schlosscarrée Health Center was laid today in Braunschweig, Germany.
This prominent location near the recently reconstructed city palace will house a two-story center for approximately 25 medical specialists as well as health-related and general services. The new building comprises approximately 22,000 square meters of usable floor space in an inner-city block. It replaces a 1950s era-shopping mall.
Designed in ArchiCAD, the project’s creative challenge was to develop a recognizable architectural language even though few exterior accents could be used due to the preservation of the existing block perimeter. This resulted in the creation of interesting interior spaces and courtyards.
ARCHITEKTENRÜDIGER Architects BDA have years of success in architecture and city planning, having completed numerous inner-city construction projects. The office has worked with ArchiCAD since 1994.
