ArchiCAD 12 new feature tutorials

This site presents online tutorial clips and downloadable interactive training packages about some of the new features of ArchiCAD 12. You can play any of the online tutorial clips in your browser.

You can also download the tutorial clips and the corresponding ArchiCAD 12 project files on your computer. Unpack and open the project files in ArchiCAD 12, activate the “ArchiCAD Movie Player” from the Help menu and enjoy the interactive learning environment while getting familiar with all the tips and tricks of ArchiCAD 12.

Curtain Wall Tutorials

A new Curtain Wall tool, located in the regular ArchiCAD 12 toolbar, lets you design and document complex Curtain Wall systems in the Floor Plan, Section or 3D window.

Partial Structure Display Tutorials

Partial Structure display enables designers to work and document the information-rich composite structure of walls and slabs while following architectural and structural drawing conventions; showing and exporting only the load bearing (core) structures, instead of filtering these structures out of the whole model one by one.

3D Document Tutorials

ArchiCAD 3D Document lets you use any 3D view of a model as the basis for a document where you can add dimensions, annotations and additional 2D drawing elements. The 3D Document lets architects better explain their ideas to their clients, using more informative documentation that is easy to understand.

Hotlink Management Tutorial

Hotlinked modules are standalone module files embedded in a project file to represent repetitive parts of a project such as standard apartments. The Hotlink Module Management system allows easy management & visualization of the entire Hotlink structure. The new hotlink manager dialog gives you full control over complex project structures.

Fill Enhancements Tutorials

Designers can use image and also translucent solid fills to enhance their presentations. Image fills can be displayed in the foreground part of drafting fills. Using translucent Solid Fills you can create a new fill type with any translucence value you wish.

User Interaction Enhancements Tutorials

ArchiCAD provides new features to speed up your work during the design process when arranging elements with each other or to a special target line, such as the Align and Distribute elements, the Nudge elements and the improved Dimension input logic. Placing dimension lines are easier and faster as well.
