Importing 3D Data from AutoCAD files

It is better to create 3D Model in AutoCAD from Surfaces or using the 3D Tool.
(See our note on importing Solid or ACIS objects).

Save it as a DWG drawing or as a DXF file. In ArchiCAD, use the Open Library Part command to open the DWG or DXF file. If you open it on the Floor Plan as a drawing the 3D information will not be included in the project file.
