Damaged files when saved to file server
Written by László Nagy
In the past, we have published a Tech Note relating to damaged ArchiCAD files when they are saved to a file server computer across the network. The article can be found at http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/archiguide/corruptedacfilesonosx.html
The problem arose again as Apple has published a new article on the subject. It can be found at: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93095
What happens is when you try to open a document saved on a server, this message appears: "That file appears to be damaged and cannot be opened." Also, the document's file size has increased to several megabytes or gigabytes instead of its expected size. The problem occurs not only on MacOS X 10.2.5 as reported earlier but under a much wider range of circumstances. Please follow the instructions in the article and download and install the AFP Client Update v1.0. from: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120314
