Incorrect Library Object after Scale Change
Written by László Nagy
Phenomenon: In a Section/Elevation Window, the drawing scale is changed. The Section/Elevation is rebuild and Windows will be displayed incorrectly. Their top oversize values will be incorrect in the new scale. Even if the Windows is ALT/OPT-rebuilt (force rebuild), it gives the same result.
Explanation: The 'top oversize' parameter of most Windows is dependent on a parameter, which in turn is dependent on the scale of Project in the current Window. The 'top oversize' value is set through the Parameter Script of the GDL Object. The root of the problem is that the Parameter Script does not run in certain cases where it should to keep the ArchiCAD database consistent. Therefore the 'top oversize' value does not get immediately updated when a scale change occurs, hence the problem.
Workaround: select the affected Window Object, and go to the Window Settings Dialog. Entering the Dialog will cause the Parameter Script to run and will return the program to data consistency. Then rebuild the Section/Elevation.
Note: this problem is scheduled be corrected in the next major release of ArchiCAD.
