Rotation of text in PlotMaker

Written by László Nagy

In ArchiCAD, Dimension texts have the intelligence to always face leftward and upward, no matter how they are placed or rotated after placement. However, when saved into a PlotMaker file, they become Texts in the Project Hotlink or File Hotlink.
If you rotate a placed drawing in PlotMaker, you may get Texts that are now facing the wrong direction, facing downward of rightward.

Dimensions in ArchiCAD

Dimensions in PlotMaker after placed drawing is rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise

PlotMaker is an application for assembling and organizing drawings, lists, pictures etc. on paper for printing/plotting and does not have the added intelligence of ArchiCAD. The paper may be printed then bound in such a way that one indeed wants everything rotated. In other words, one does not want the dimensions to re-orient themselves.
As a workaround, when facing such a situation, rotate the drawing and Dimensions in ArchiCAD to the desired position, and then save it as a PlotMaker file.
