Hairline Thickness at Printing

Written by Andor Szőke

To set all pens to 0 thickness and print or plot in `hairlines` follow these steps:

  • Save a copy of your layout (in case you want to preserve the original layout's settings).
  • Open the Options/Book Pens & Colors dialog (Not All Pens & Colors).

  • Select all pens (hold down the Shift key while selecting).
  • Change pen width to 0,00.

  • Close the dialog.
  • While holding the Alt key down go to the corner of the layout and when the cursor is set to a dropper click with the left button of your mouse.

  • While holding the Alt and Ctrl keys down go to the corner of one of the placed drawings and when the cursor is set to a syringe click with the left button of your mouse.

  • A Transfer Pen Attributes dialog will appear asking which attributes you want to transfer. Please make sure a check is in the Pen Weight check-box.
  • Repeat this transfer operation to the other placed drawings too.
  • Print or plot the Layout.
This way the whole document will be printed or plotted in 'Hairlines'.

Note: According to Attributes Update Settings when you try to do the transfer operation a Warning dialog may come up:

Please choose Go to Drawing Settings and in the appearing dialog set the below highlighted radio-button and check-box as shown.
