Using the IntelliMouse Scroll Wheel with ArchiCAD 8

Problems with the Scroll Wheel Button when using an IntelliMouse (compatible mouse) with ArchiCAD:

When trying to use the scroll wheel on the floor plan for zooming then only the floor plan gets scrolled up and down.

This phenomenon can be avoided by changing the mouse driver settings. Follow these steps:

• Quit ArchiCAD
• Open the Control Panel from Start Menu/Settings...
• Open the Mouse Control Panel
• Go to the Wheel Tab page
• Select Advanced from the Wheel Troubleshooter section (see screenshot below) to open the Advanced Wheel Settings dialog

  

• Here click on Add..., locate ArchiCAD.exe and add it to the list (see screenshot below)

  

• Restart ArchiCAD.

After this adjustment of the driver the scroll wheel will work as supposed in the floor plan in ArchiCAD.
