Relocate Projects to the Absolute Origin
It can happen that the Project is located very far from the ArchiCAD-Origin, e.g. in case of importing a DXF/DWG-File.
In order to relocate the project back to the ArchiCAD-Origin follow the steps bellow:
- Set all the Layers to Show and Unlock.
- Elements locked by the Lock command in the Tools menu are to be unlocked.
- Place a hotspot next to the project.
- Press Alt+Shift/Opt+Shift on the keyboard and click on the hotspot previously placed so that the user origin (bold black cross) coincides with it.
- Delete both hotspot and user origin by selecting them with the arrow tool (delete twice).
- Establish a new hotspot in the project origin by typing the coordinates x=0, y=0.
- Click on the command Fit in window in the Display menu. The project and hotspot together with the project origin should appear in two different corners of the screen.
- Use the bold marquee to frame the project so that all the stories become selected. See also in the ArchiCAD Reference Guide.
- Drag the project to the project origin.
- By using Fit in window the project will be adjusted to the screen.
- Go to Save as and save the project under a new name.
