Changes since last update:

Compatibility

The downloadable library is fully compatible with the AC10
Library, thus you can use it to update your existing AC10 projects. It
contains corrections of reported bugs and inconsistencies; we strongly
suggest that users update their existing library with this one.

Instructions

  • Download the compressed object library and uncompress it on your computer.
  • Replace the “Object Library 10.lcf” file with this one in your Archicad 10/ Archicad Library 10 folder (USA version), and replace the whole Lightworks 10 folder.
  • Please note that we didn’t make any changes in the background images, textures and listing folders; therefore, we didn’t upload these parts of the library to this site.
  • If you have modified the “Object Library 10.lcf” file yourself please save it under a new name otherwise you will lose your customized objects.

List of Changes

  • Corrections in LightWorks 10 folder.

How to use Subset Libraries (USA)

If you change Archicad version during the lifetime of a project you will want to use the new library as well.
Most of the library parts are always compatible with their previous version, but there can be a few exceptions:

  • discontinued objects
  • object changed so much, that they cannot be compatible with their previous version

Archicad’s GUID system will make sure, that compatible objects are updated automatically replacing older object versions.
The subset library contains all the exceptions, so if you load it together with the new Library, then your project will have no library loading problems. (Of course if you have custom object in your library you must load those as well.)

Important: If you modified any of the standard library objects and saved them back into the library, then the modifications will be lost in Archicad 10 using the Subset Library system. To avoid this make sure you save your modified objects with a new name into your Project Library and use those in your project avoiding Library upgrade problems.

Examples

If you started your project on Archicad 9 using the SE9 Library, then for Archicad 10 you should load the following libraries:

  • Archicad Library 10
  • Archicad SE9 Subset for AC10.lcf
  • Project Library with Custom objects

If you started your project on Archicad 9 using the Standard 9 Library and later on also used the SE9 Library, then for Archicad 10 you should load the following libraries:

  • Archicad Library 10
  • Archicad SE9 Subset for AC10.lcf
  • Archicad 9 Subset for AC9SE.lcf
  • Project Library with Custom objects

If you started your project on Archicad 9 using the standard Library, then for Archicad 10 you should load the following libraries:

  • Archicad Library 10
  • Archicad 9 Subset for AC9SE.lcf
  • Project Library with Custom objects
