MaxonForm

MaxonForm is essentially MAXON's CINEMA 4D, the powerful, mature and highly popular design and animation solution which has been 'customized' for architecture. The add-on allows MaxonForm to function as a graphical GDL modeler and editor tightly integrated with Archicad, allowing a streamlined "roundtrip" Archicad-MaxonForm-Archicad workflow on both the Macintosh® and Windows® platforms.

MaxonForm Discontinued

March 28, 2008

Starting with ArchiCAD 12, Graphisoft will cease the development and distribution of MaxonForm. Technical support for existing MaxonForm licenses will continue to be available for a period of one (ending on March 27, 2009). The ArchiCAD 11 version of MaxonForm will be available until August 1, 2008.

To ensure that creating free-form shapes continues to be possible for our users, we are releasing a free CINEMA 4D add-on that allows seamless data exchange between ArchiCAD 11 and CINEMA 4D R10–10.5.

This add-on has the same design workflow and interface that we developed for MaxonForm. The add-on is available immediately in English, German, Spanish and Japanese as a free download.

If you are a MaxonForm user, to purchase CINEMA 4D 10.5 for special upgrade price until the end of 2008, please contact a Maxon distributor near you.

Training material is available for MaxonForm:

Dear Users,

We at Graphisoft have decided to create an Architectural Tutorial for MaxonForm, which will guide you through an architectural project, showing Best Practice and tips on how you can best utilize and gain the most from the power of MaxonForm. This will be delivered in 10 lessons, each covering one or two features.
As you all know, there is documentation about MaxonForm already on the CD – and this Tutorial is meant to compliment it.
We hope this will prove to be effective material for all architects eager to master the organic modeling capabilities of MaxonForm, and extend their capabilities working within the Virtual Building environment.
