This Hotfix addresses documentation and visualization and other miscellaneous issues. The fixes are listed in full detail below.

Documentation

  • We fixed an issue where Open-style dialogs opened from Archicad or third-party add-ons could be partially cut off, making buttons inaccessible. (DEF-26279)
  • We fixed an issue where Keynote labels could be replaced in Teamwork projects without reserving the element. (DEF-26134)
  • We fixed a crash that occurred when entering custom text in a door schedule. (DEF-14724)

Visualization

  • We fixed an issue on macOS where Archicad 28 could display leftover empty windows that blocked parts of the screen and interfered with normal use. (DEF-26526)

Installation & Update

  • We implemented stability improvements to make Archicad more reliable during everyday use. (DEF-23724)

This Update contains several improvements since the original release of Archicad 28. This package updates only Archicad and the installed Graphisoft Add-ons and Goodies. BIMcloud Basic and BIMcloud can be updated with a separate package, you can access the latest installer here.

To access the latest official Update for your Archicad, please use the “Check for Updates” command in the Archicad Help Menu.

Installation notes
  • The Update process will automatically search your computer for Archicad 28 (including MEP Modeler, EcoDesigner Star and all Graphisoft Add-ons).
  • Make sure you have administrator rights on the computer. Start the full installation process using an administrator account.
  • Make sure none of the Archicad components are modified (e.g. renamed).
  • If you have multiple copies of Archicad on your machine, then the installer will automatically find one copy. If you want to update a different instance, you can use the “Browse” button to locate it. You will need to run the installer multiple times to update each copy of Archicad.
