This Update addresses Teamwork & BIMCloud, Visualization, MEP and other miscellaneous issues. The fixes are listed in full detail below.

Installation and Update

  • The Archicad 29.1.0 update installer now launches correctly after automatic download. (DEF-27239)

Licensing

  • Archicad no longer continuously retries license requests after connection is restored, requests are now triggered manually. (DEF-26937)
  • Resolved an issue where License Manager Tools on macOS did not open and closed shortly after launch if it was installed in a modified folder. (DEF-26827)

Modelling

  • Numeric input now works correctly on macOS 26.4 Tahoe without altering entered values. (DEF-26354)
  • Libpack update notifications in Archicad now behave correctly without causing the application to hang. (DEF-25872)

Libraries & Objects

  • Migrated projects now automatically use the correct Library Localization Preferences. (DEF-26354)
  • Libpack update notifications in Archicad now behave correctly without causing the application to hang. (DEF-25872)
  • Libraries with identical names are now correctly replaced when loading from BIMCloud, preventing duplication of Libpack and monolithic libraries. (DEF-25964)

Teamwork & BIMCloud

  • Resolved a Teamwork Send/Receive error caused by duplicated custom layer combinations. (DEF-26883)
  • Resolved an issue where layer settings could reference different layer combinations locally and on the server. (DEF-26691)
  • Default host server settings for Teamwork Projects now work correctly with on-premise BIMCloud environments. (DEF-25989)
  • Opening Teamwork projects created from shared PLN files now completes without errors or crashes. (DEF-26763)

Documentation

  • Schedules now report correct Walls Surface Area values when zones are updated using the Update Selected Zones command. (DEF-25341)

Visualizatio

  • We resolved a Cineware issue on macOS that could make rendering unavailable for some users, including Redshift rendering. (DEF-26799)
  • PDF exports on macOS now respect the selected image resolution limitation, resulting in expected file sizes. (DEF-26751)
  • Improved text readability in Dark Mode by adjusting the appearance of blue text. (DEF-26596)
  • Resolved a rendering issue on macOS where the separator line in GDL Settings tab pages could appear unstable or inconsistent. (DEF-26461)
  • Fixed a problem where localized text did not appear in the Project Preview. (DEF-26932)
  • Set Window Size locking now behaves reliably, ensuring consistent width-to-height synchronization on both macOS and Windows. (DEF-26060)

MEP

  • MEP parts now correctly place ports on elements when created in pre-existing projects. (DEF-26826)

All relevant improvements and fixes are also included in the corresponding MEP Designer version, which is available through its respective installer.

This Update contains several improvements since the original release of Archicad 29 and the corresponding MEP Designer version. The same set of enhancements and fixes is available for both products through their respective installers.

BIMcloud Basic and BIMcloud can be updated with a separate package, you can access the latest installer here.

To access the latest official Update, please use the “Check for Updates” command in the Help Menu of your product.


Installation notes
  • The Update process will automatically search your computer for the Archicad 29 (including MEP Feature Set, Energy Evaluation and all Graphisoft Add-ons) or the MEP Designer installation folder.
  • Make sure you have administrator rights on the computer. Start the full installation process using an administrator account.
  • Make sure none of the Archicad components are modified (e.g. renamed).
  • If you have multiple copies of Archicad on your machine, then the installer will automatically find one copy. If you want to update a different instance, you can use the “Browse” button to locate it. You will need to run the installer multiple times to update each copy of Archicad.
