Features

From design to calculation and visualization through generation of deliverables, DDScad supports your practice with intelligent solutions for greater efficiency.

Design

Use automatic dimensioning functions based on pressure loss, flow rate and sound. Achieve regulated balance ventilation through adjustable valves and air vents: These are just some of the powerful capabilities DDScad has to offer. Integrated product information makes your design more than just graphical symbols and lines. International standards are considered from sketch to output.

A 3D rendering of a building interior showcases a vibrant network of multicolored HVAC and plumbing pipes, designed using CAD. Red, yellow, blue, and green pipes intertwine through walls and ceilings in a partially transparent, unfinished structure.

Calculate

Ventilation system design is based on intelligent objects like ducts and vents with stored information. This data also serves as a starting point for automatic calculations. Design and calculation are integrated – change the model and the calculation will be updated automatically and vice versa. This saves time and prevents errors.

Visualize

Create high-level presentations and get customer buy-in faster, thanks to DDScad Ventilation’s powerful visualization capabilities. A connection to BIMx offers the ability to view and share 3D models, plans, and project information on a variety of different devices and operating systems.

An interior view of the industrial facility reveals a CAD-designed network of overhead pipes and beams. Bright blue, yellow, and gray structures dominate the scene, showcasing a complex infrastructure with precision that any architect using Graphisoft tools would admire under fluorescent lights.

Document

From reports, line and system diagrams, and installation plans to parts lists: Create accurate documentation quickly and easily with DDScad Ventilation. Print the results, create a 3D visualization, or export the bill of quantities directly to a cost estimating solution.

Add-on modules

Flexibly expand the technical scope of your software package by adding the following modules. There are also other add-on modules available to expand the visualization options for example. Offerings may vary depending on location. Check with your local partner for details and availability.

Cooling load calculation and energy simulations

Perform dynamic cooling load calculations according to ASHRAE or VDI 2078, as well as energy simulations to compare different ventilation systems, using a bidirectional interface with IDA ESBO from EQUA. Benefit from the seamless exchange between the two software applications for the smooth transfer of spatial data and simulation results.

A detailed 3D model of an industrial piping system, crafted using CAD software, showcases a complex network of blue, red, and yellow pipes within a metal frame. It features various connectors, valves, and ladders in an organized layout perfect for an architects review.

More specialist functions for ventilation systems

Add modules for automatic reporting of duct sheet metal output according to VOB DIN 18379 as well as dynamic sound level calculation to expand the software according to your needs.

A 3D model featuring interconnected, colorful ducts and pipes in blue, yellow, green, and brown showcases the intricacy of a buildings ventilation or plumbing system. Designed with Graphisofts BIM software, the ducts form a complex pattern on a light background.
