Graphisoft to Open Dubai Branch

Dubai, May 13, 1998

To renew its commitment to developing its Middle East markets, Graphisoft opened its office in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on May 11. The operation will offer extended marketing and technical support to distributors in the Gulf region and serve as Graphisoft's Middle East hub of market development.

Graphisoft Dubai Branch will closely collaborate with its sole distributor in the U.A.E., CADD Emirates (CE), the largest value-added CAD reseller and training center in the Emirates. CE now carries ARCHICAD, Graphisoft's award-winning integrated architectural CAD product as its exclusive solution for architects. An industry leader and the Emirates' largest AutoCAD reseller, CE provides sales, training, support and service for ARCHICAD and its complementary products. With offices and training centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, CE is ideally positioned to support the growth of Graphisoft's U.A.E. client base.

"With our excellent partner, CADD Emirates, we are sure of achieving fast development in the Emirates. While we establish ourselves in Dubai we are heavily working on opening up the third largest construction market in the world, Saudi Arabia.", said Akos Szabo, General Manager of the Graphisoft Dubai Branch. Akos Szabo has been International Sales Manager of Graphisoft in the Asia-Pacific since 1994.

"CADD Emirates is a VAR for CAD softwares and peripherals and already has over 60% market share in the UAE market. Having realized that there is need for a product which is essentially a design tool for architects in building Virtual Buildings as opposed to building models, CADD Emirates will market, supply, install, train and support ARCHICAD.", commented Mr. V. Sathya Moorthy, Director of CADD Emirates. "By distributing ARCHICAD exclusively for the UAE market CADD Emirates will continue to provide and enhance its total solutions for architects."

Graphisoft is a leading provider of computer-aided design (CAD) software solutions for the architectural profession and the building industry. Founded in 1982, Graphisoft is ranked today among the largest AEC CAD software developers in the world, with 12 offices all over the world in addition to its headquarters.
