Join Graphisoft at the XXIst World Congress of Architecture in Berlin
Graphisoft celebrates 20 years' commitment to architects as the main sponsor of the World Congress
Budapest/Boston/Munich, July 11, 2002 - Graphisoft, developer of the architectural solution, ARCHICAD®, announced its support and participation in the International Union of Architects' World Congress with renowned speakers organized in cooperation with the Association of German Architects.
July 22 - 26, 2002 a dialogue entitled "Resource Architecture," - creating a sustainable environment for the 21st century worth living in - will take place at the World Congress in Berlin. Graphisoft, as a leading developer in providing solutions for architects, supports this significant international event and also contributes actively to the interdisciplinary dialogue about the responsibility of architecture in the process of social, economic and ecological changes.
Gábor Bojár, Chairman of Graphisoft, one of the distinguished speakers at the congress, will be presenting in plenum 3, "Space and Identity." Bojár will discuss the question of how Information Technology assists architects to regain their renaissance role in the network of interests of architect, client and building industry.
Graphisoft's further contribution to the official program of the XXIst World Congress of Architecture is the presentation of David Sutherland, Director of Planning from Fender Katsalidis Architects Australia. In Workshop 9, "Design and Technology of High-rises," Sutherland will present the design process of Eureka Tower in Melbourne - the world's tallest residential building, which was designed with ARCHICAD®. In his presentation Sutherland will demonstrate the high efficiency of using the Virtual Building™ approach to the design process.
PlanCom, the AEC Show of the Congress, will take place July 23 - 26, 2002. In hall 18, booth 1813, at its 300m2 stand Graphisoft offers visitors an insight to the Company's large product portfolio, and provides the opportunity for personal consultations. At 15 workstations presentations of Graphisoft's 3D CAD-solutions for architects, facility managers and building professionals will be available for visitors. The large variety of attractive programs includes project presentations of renowned architects on a daily basis.
Graphisoft invites all participants to its booth for a casual "Happy Hour" - Meeting Point for Architects from around the world - everyday after the Congress sessions from 5:00p.m. Additionally, on July 25 Graphisoft celebrates its 20th anniversary, with a birthday party and Awards Ceremony for the winners of the Ideas Competition for the Graphisoft Conference Center over the Danube (July 25, 5:00 p.m. at the Graphisoft stand). The winning entries of the internationally successful competition will be exhibited at the Graphisoft booth for the duration of PlanCom. All submissions can be viewed in the "Digital Gallery" at the Graphisoft booth.
