Graphisoft’s award-winning Virtual Building solution stands alone on the platform
Budapest, August 30, 2006 – Graphisoft announced today that Archicad 10, the latest version of its award-winning Virtual Building™ modeling technology, is now supporting Apple® Macintosh OS X running on the new Intel® Core™ processor platform.
“Our close partnership with Apple enabled us to quickly bring to our users the best platform that Apple has ever released. Our users will definitely benefit from the innovation and performance that these machines bring.” says Viktor Varkonyi, VP, Archicad Development.
Beta-tester feedback has confirmed dramatic results: “I downloaded and pushed the Mactel version of Archicad 10 through its paces, and it smokes!” reports Chris Ellis of Long Pond Homeworks, US. “The section/elevation window updates very quickly and the 3D window refresh is almost instantaneous. LightWorks® rendering is also way faster.”
“Graphisoft’s commitment to Apple’s new Intel chip-based offerings will give us the ability to extend our creativity and our core services well into the future,” agrees Monte Chapin of Lucchesi Galati. “For us, we can leverage both platforms on one computer OS. That affects our bottom line, and gives us a significant Return-on-Investment.”
Graphisoft Archicad helps users to win more business by assisting them to design more creatively, analyze earlier, generate documentation rapidly and efficiently coordinate projects both internally and externally. In a recent global Return-on-Investment survey, Archicad on average was found to contribute 12% to a practice’s profit, and greatly lift productivity.
