The first GRAPHISOFT Basecamp, an educational event for students, will be held at
GRAPHISOFT Headquarters in Budapest, Hungary from July 22 through August 2, 2019.
Twenty talented university students were chosen from among architecture students close to or in their final year
of studies. Our task is to educate and set them on a path to become the next generation of ARCHICAD champions,
connecting them with prestigious clients in their home countries.
This year, we will write history, because GRAPHISOFT will host its first Basecamp for university students in Budapest, Hungary from July 22 through August 2, 2019, and we hope you are just as excited as we are!
Our goal and task is to find and educate talented students, set them on a path to become the next generation of ARCHICAD champions and connect them with prestigious clients in their home countries. Participants were chosen from among architecture students close to or in their final year of studies, possessing a professional level of both spoken and written English and an intermediate level of knowledge of ARCHICAD.
Basecamp isn’t the end of our work together; we will offer support to ensure that the relationships and friendships can be continued and sustained among the participants and with GRAPHISOFT.
During the day, lectures and workshops will take place at GRAPHISOFT SE Headquarters in Budapest, Hungary at Graphisoft Park.
During the two weeks that we will spend together at Basecamp, participants will work together from countries around the world: Austria, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Russia, United States and the United Kingdom. Their tasks will include the modeling, documentation and presentation of an architectural project, delivered by following a BIM-based workflow; attend training held by GRAPHISOFT professionals and collaborate in workshops with their teammates to learn more about the design process supported by BIM in ARCHICAD.
Two weeks is a long time, so we’ve booked some cool flats for the teammates in the city center, allowing them to explore Budapest in their free time, and to come and go as they please.
Students were asked to submit the following material:
Résumé - We were interested in their educational and professional backgrounds, software knowledge, and personal
goals, hobbies and interests.
Portfolio - One university project modeled in ARCHICAD with documentation and plan file describing the modeling techniques and additional software used.
Motivational video - A short, two-minute introductory video in English showing their interest and motivation to attend.
We look forward to this summer and the event!
