Archicad 12 CHI Library Update

Version 2009-05-14

This Hotfix includes important fixes for library bugs discovered since the original release of Archicad 12 (Build 2459). This Hotfix can be applied to any build of Archicad 12 (Build 2459 and above).

Install steps:

  1. Download the Hotfix from the previous page.
  2. Exit Archicad before you start the installer.
  3. Make sure that you have administrator rights on your computer.
  4. Make sure that components of your Archicad Library have not been renamed or in any other way modified. If you have modified the Archicad 12 standard library, please re-install it from the original Archicad install DVD.
  5. Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installer. To run the installer, Java version 6 must be installed on your computer. You can install Java version 6 from your original Archicad install DVD.
  6. Follow the instructions of the wizard to complete the installation.


Most important bugs corrected in this update:

  • 88131 – Curtain Wall: Modular Frame: Transom width settings not true when displaying in projected floorplan mode
  • 88075 – Curtain Wall: Shadow casting of curtain wall frames is turned off by default
  • 89917 – Doors, Windows: 3D detail level can be set to Scale sensitive, so the doors/windows disappear in section and elevation, only hotspots remain
  • 87025 – Doors, Windows: Missing casing contour lines in 3D if casing thickness is 0
  • 87292 – Doors: CHI spring door symbol is needed only in the following doors: D1 Double Acting, D2 Double Acting, D2 Double Egress; and Show Chinese Spring Door Symbol parameter only in D2 Double Egress.
  • 69116 – Doors: D1 Entrance St, D2 Entrance St: Leaf ( 3 ) Material Outside 3D cannot be changed
  • 89014 – Lamps: bad background fill pen by default
  • 87266 – Linear Drawing Title: The drawing ID in the title block appears at the very left of the bubble instead of being centered.
  • 87336 – Objects: chair, armchair, design chair: New symbol types missing
  • 74062 – Objects: Shutter Rectangular: Double shutter with leaf type 4 only one leaf is shown
  • 87354 – Wall End: warning appears when placing Returned End in the composite curved wall
  • 73849 – Windows: Can’t select glass connection at custom corner in fixed windows if transom is enabled
