UK "Road Show" Places Archicad's Object Technology in the Spotlight

London, September 16, 1999
Archicad, the object-oriented,
computer-aided design (CAD) software for architects and building design professionals, is touring the UK with a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) seminar series hosted by Graphisoft UK and its solution partners. Titled “Archicad, An OBJECTIVE Analysis,” the seminars address what has become a significant issue in the building industry: the use of object technology and 2D/3D integrated CAD systems.
The seminars aim to show how the use of object technology in construction
IT is crucial for architectural and building design firms to succeed and
maintain their competitive edge. “According to our experience, it is a
lack of information and education that impedes the successful application
of new technology,” comments András Haidekker, managing director of
Graphisoft UK. “It¹s our aim to take Archicad apart at these seminars and
allow people to really explore what¹s inside. We want architects to
experience first hand the increase in productivity that comes from our
Virtual Building object technology. We are not afraid to allow our
product to be subjected to such intense and objective public
examination.”
Through these hands-on seminars, Graphisoft will provide building
industry professionals with the opportunity to assess in depth the
program¹s features, which include easy building modeling, rapid 2D
drafting, powerful project data coordination, and comprehensive 3D design
capabilities. The seminars will be free of charge, and attendees may earn
CPD points.
The seminar series itinerary is:
September – 16: London SW; 21: Harrogate and Cambridge; 23: Nottingham
and Glasgow (23); 28: London NW.
October – 1: Manchester; 5: Belfast and Luton; 7: London Central and
Edinburgh; 12: Norwich and Brighton; 14: London N; 19: Sheffield and
Southampton; 21: Newcastle; 26: Leeds; 28: Birmingham.
November – 2: Bristol; 8: Wolverhampton; 9: Exeter.
