Graphisoft ARCHICAD 8 Ranks Highest in CADALYST Labs Review

CADALYST Magazine Awards Building Information Modeling Software Five Out of Five Stars

Newton, Mass. - February 27, 2003 - Graphisoft, developer of the Virtual Building™ concept, today announced that ARCHICAD®8, the Company's building information model technology for building design professionals, scored a perfect five out of five stars in CADALYST Magazine's review. This marks the second consecutive year CADALYST has given Graphisoft its top rating for the Company's building information modeling system.

"The new features of ARCHICAD®8 add some worthwhile improvements and enhancements to what was already probably the most mature and complete of the full-featured architectural building modeler products available," said Michael Dakan, contributing editor of CADALYST, in his review. "This is a solid product that appears to be gaining market share, and is worth serious consideration if you are looking for a new tool or seeking to upgrade your present application."

Released in the fall of 2002, ARCHICAD®8 enables building designers to create documentation faster with improved layout and drafting techniques. A streamlined interface and increased navigation speed deliver greater ease-of-use to both new and experienced users. Additional new tools include the Layout Book, which connects layouts to the building model for increased productivity, and the Detail Tool that speeds 2D tasks.

"CADALYST Magazine is a leading publication in the architectural CAD industry, and we're honored that ARCHICAD®8 was awarded its prestigious five-star ranking," said Chris Barron, vice president, architecture, for Graphisoft US. "This ranking is evidence of our commitment to delivering the most advanced building information modeling software in the architecture and building design industry."

Dakan's complete review of ARCHICAD®8 is available in the January issue of CADALYST Magazine and online on the CADALYST website. CADALYST is a publication of Advanstar Communications and can be found online at
