ARCHICAD Wins First Place in CGW's 1995 Editors' Choice Award

CGW Graphic Computer Graphics World, the industry-leading magazine for cutting edge 3D graphics, has chosen ARCHICAD 4.55 as the First Place Winner in their 1995 Editors' Choice Awards. The purpose of the award is to honor the best CAD and graphics hardware and software of the year. The award follows the 1994 Editors Choice Award given to ARCHICAD last year by MacUser Magazine.
"We believe this award reflects not only our growing popularity with architects and designers, but also a host of innovations that Graphisoft added to ARCHICAD in 1995," said David Marlatt, President of Graphisoft U.S. "In fact, ARCHICAD was the first software to ship with Apple's new QuickTime VR built-in as an option to save virtual walk-throughs directly from the application."

Graphisoft has also announced that, as of Mid '96, the new ARCHICAD 5.0 version will be available on all platforms supported, including Windows 95, Windows NT, Power Macintosh and Macintosh 68K versions. Version 5.0 will further enhance ARCHICAD's "Digital Building" concept and integrated design-drafting approach in several aspects:

Graphisoft is a leading provider of computer-aided design (CAD) software solutions for the architectural profession and the building industry. Founded in 1982, Graphisoft is ranked today among the largest AEC CAD software developers in the world, with 12 offices all over the world in addition to its headquarters. Graphisoft's flagship product, ARCHICAD, is used by more than 75,000 architects worldwide and distributed in 25 languages and 80 countries.
