Graphisoft CEO a Featured Speaker at 20th UIA Congress in Beijing
Budapest / Hong Kong - June 23, 1999
Graphisoft President and CEO Gábor Bojár will speak at the upcoming 20th Congress of the International Union of Architects (UIA) in Beijing, China. The conference, held June 23-26, 1999, will attract more than 6,000 architects from China and all over the world.
Graphisoft is a sponsor of the congress, themed "Architecture in the 21st Century." Bojár will present his lecture on "CAD in Architecture" during the "New Technologies" portion of the conference on June 26. In addition, Bojár will co-chair the CAD Forum held later that afternoon.
China's interest in new technology was demonstrated by the recent decision of one of its leading universities to teach ARCHICAD. Tongji University in Shanghai acquired 30 licences of ARCHICAD, and will integrate the software and fully localized training materials into its department of architecture's curriculum by the end of the year.
UIA, the only international organization representing over one million architects in more than 100 UIA member countries, holds a conference every three years. Committed to serving the UIA's member architects, Graphisoft is the principal sponsor of the UIA's 21st Congress, to be hosted in Berlin, Germany, in 2002.
The Architectural Society of China is sponsoring this year's congress, the first of its kind in the Asia/Pacific region.
