MEP Designer product launch – How to get your trial license
Following the product launch of our MEP Designer software, we invited you as DDScad users to visit this information page to learn about the development of both MEP planning solutions. In that context, we also announced the possibility of a free trial license for MEP Designer. This page provides you with information on how to obtain your trial license.
MEP Designer: Free trial licenses for DDScad customers
Who is eligible?
As a company that uses one or more DDScad licenses in the sanitary/heating or ventilation disciplines in connection with an active software maintenance contract, you are entitled to test one MEP Designer license free of charge for one year for each of these DDScad licenses.
Important difference in licensing:
Unlike DDScad, you don’t need a dongle for MEP Designer. Licensing is handled entirely through what’s called a Company Graphisoft ID, which manages all your company’s MEP Designer licenses.
Prerequisite: Company Graphisoft ID
What is it?
The Company Graphisoft ID is a digital company profile created specifically for managing your MEP Designer licenses. This ID is not identical to a personal Graphisoft ID that you may have already created for DDScad or other Graphisoft products.
We’ll handle the setup for you:
We’ll take care of the important step of creating a Company Graphisoft ID for your company – provided you want to use an MEP Designer trial license. For this, we only need some information from you. To provide this information, you’ll find a form at the end of this page.
Important: Register only one person per company
Why only one person?
To create a Company Graphisoft ID, we need the required information from only one single person from each company. This person will automatically be assigned the roles of “Contract Manager” and “License Admin.” You can change these role assignments at any time later.
Who should be registered?
This doesn’t necessarily have to be someone who will use the software themselves later. In many companies, for example, the person responsible for IT administration or software licenses is selected.
Internal coordination required:
Since we often have multiple contact persons for a company, we may have informed several people in your company about this opportunity. Please coordinate internally: Clarify within your department or company which person should be registered through the form and who will submit the completed form to us.

Process after submitting your form
What happens next?
After we receive your completely filled out form, these steps follow:
1. Verification:
We’ll check whether the registered company is entitled to use one or more MEP Designer trial licenses.
2. Setup:
If the verification is positive, we’ll set up an appropriate Company Graphisoft ID for you.
3. Role assignment:
The person you’ve registered for your company will be entered as Administrator and Contract Manager for this ID.
4. License delivery:
This person will receive an email with all additional information and startup instructions for the
MEP Designer licenses after the required processing time. Since the aforementioned steps are partly not automated, they can take up to 10 business days during periods of high application volume. Of course, we strive for faster processing.
