How to Place a Storefront Door

In Archicad, doors can only be placed into walls. That means no freestanding doors can exist. Therefore, you should have at least one wall on your floor plan for the object to be placed. Choose the Door Tool from the Toolbox.

Please note that your screen layout may differ from the one shown above. The size of the palettes depends on the size of your display and your particular settings. D1 is the default door in Archicad. If you have opened your plan with Use Default Project Settings in the startup dialog or you have chosen New & Reset All from the File menu, this door object will be applied, unless you change the door settings. If you are not sure if the door object has been set, double-click on the Door Tool icon. The Door Default Settings dialog comes up. From this window highlight the storefront door object. You will find it under Object Library 9
