Graphisoft Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Hewlett Packard

Pilot Project Underway to Reconstruct Nyíregyháza College as “Intelligent Campus”

BUDAPEST, May 30, 2003 – Graphisoft®, a leading provider of design
and building information management solutions, today announced an agreement
with HP Hungary to cooperate in the development, sales and distribution of
building automation, maintenance/management software and services.

According to the terms of the agreement, HP Hungary and Graphisoft® will
develop custom solutions for clients by integrating their softwares, BuilDog
and ArchiFM®. “BuilDog”, HP’s award-winning intelligent
building automation system, is used by several Hungarian facilities for building
management, security systems and services management. ArchiFM, Graphisoft’s
facility management software, is used by numerous Hungarian and international
facilities for integrated and efficient space, asset, inventory, lease and
maintenance management, and is ranked among the Top 10 software solutions by
CADALYST, the U.S. industry magazine. By linking BuilDog and ArchiFM, the two
companies will be able to provide solutions and services tailored to their
customers’ specific needs.

“Graphisoft and HP are leading market players both domestically and
worldwide, and our profiles complement each other extremely well. This naturally
offers options for synergy, which is why I consider our strategic cooperation
very promising,” said Imre Szalay, Director of Services for HP Hungary.

As a pilot project, the two companies are cooperating in the reconstruction
of Nyíregyháza College. HP is the main contractor for this project,
valued at over HUF 1.5 billion. The project links Graphisoft ArchiFM®’s
integrated facility management database modules with the intelligent building
functions (HVAC – heating, ventilation, air conditioning -, maintenance
automation, security, communicational network) developed by HP. The result
is a comprehensive building automation, information and facility management
system.

The College of Nyíregyháza is one of Hungary’s largest
institutes of higher education, with 11,000 students and close to 1,000 employees.
When complete, the intelligent building and facility management system will
significantly reduce the institution’s operating expenses.

“We are very pleased about this cooperation,” said Gábor
Dióssy, Graphisoft’s Director of Facility Management. “The
fact that ArchiFM represents a significant business opportunity for a world-renowned
company such as HP validates our strategy, and also bodes well for fruitful
common ventures in the future.”
