The largest shopping and entertainment centers of Central Europe to be managed by ArchiFM 7.0, ArchiFM WebServer and ArchiFM Maintenance
Budapest, September 19, 2002 – TriGránit Development Corporation announced the implementation of ArchiFM® software to manage 350,000 sq. meters of retail and office space. Based on Graphisoft’s Virtual Building™ concept, ArchiFM is both flexible and adaptable to TriGránit’s existing IT systems providing an effective tool for managing all building-related information of its large real estate holdings – including the WestEnd City Center and the Polus Center with 400 and 270 retail units respectively.
TriGránit required a solution that could support the daily technical management (planned maintenance, help desk, refurbishment) of its facilities and equipment. ArchiFM 7.0, ArchiFM WebServer and ArchiFM Maintenance meet these demands, providing complete support of maintenance, asset and space management, the administration of the technical documentation set and the tenant management.
“We selected Graphisoft among 8 companies in the second round of tender because ArchiFM best meets our needs in terms of cost and efficiency,” relayed István Sereg, CEO of TriGránit. “We will benefit greatly from using such a complete and flexible solution for daily management.”
The complete asset management and maintenance information of TriGránit is being integrated into ArchiFM’s unified database and will reflect its management processes. The ArchiFM database is further being integrated into the company’s other existing systems such as the asset administration and the financial system, making initial data transfer to ArchiFM efficient and allowing for continuous data exchange between these systems.
ArchiFM offers the further advantage of a complete engineering solution for buildings and their documentation, in that the full functionality of Archicad is inherent to the package. Thus all the applications can use the same hardware infrastructure and there is no need to purchase and operate separate CAD and CAFM systems.
With development and maintenance offices located throughout Budapest, TriGránit also needed a solution that could be accessed remotely. Using ArchiFM WebServer, TriGránit staff can access, input, and modify information, via the Internet and TriGránit’s intranet. Graphisoft’s web-based application combined with ArchiFM provides the latest technological solution and up-to-date tools supporting the system operations, while maintaining the software’s traditional user-friendly features.
An integral part of the ArchiFM solution, ArchiFM Maintenance extends the basic maintenance features of ArchiFM 7.0. The maintenance software includes a web-based error reporting system (HelpDesk) that when combined with the WebServer makes maintenance reports accessible anywhere. Other requests can also be transmitted using the HelpDesk; after central approval, task and work orders can be generated for these requests. The software also supports the management of subcontractors and parallel projects; the planning of stocks, materials, asset and human resources; and cost planning and registration according to expense allocation and budget frame.
“ArchiFM Maintenance is a top-of-the-line system, able to meet a wide range of demands providing an optimal solution for companies like TriGránit, focused on maintenance services,” said Tibor Gáthy, director of facility management development, Graphisoft. “I’m very pleased to see TriGránit among our users, along with the Hungarian Tax Authority and MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas. Our implementation experience on such previous large-scale projects in a complete maintenance, asset management and CAFM system will be a great help to the employees of TriGránit.”
